Martin Diaz Plata is a seasoned investment professional with 35 years of experience in global finance and private equity. Currently, he serves as the Head of Private Equity Investments at BlueOrchard, a member of the Schroders Group, where he manages the private equity team and oversees investment and value creation activities. He is also a member of the firm’s Private Equity Investment Committee.

Prior to joining BlueOrchard in 2023, Martin spent two decades at Capital Group Private Markets as Managing Partner and Co-Chair of the Investment Committee. His extensive career also includes roles at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and Corporation Financiera del Valle. He has extensive experience and a deep understanding of emerging market investing across a variety of sectors and geographies.

Martin holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a degree in France and International Relations from Universidad Externado de Colombia.
